Kaleidoscope
This collection contains works made between 2017 and 2019. Inspired by Islamic architecture and its focus on geometry and balance, the kaleidoscopes represent internal and external barriers that prevent one's identity from being fully realized. These barriers are a product of our upbringing, cultural expectations, the relationships in our lives and the beliefs that we adopt on the path to self-discovery.
The kaleidoscopes also symbolize a journey inward. They represent an awakening to the self and to the universe within us, which transcends man-made constructs like society, culture and traditions.
